Welcome to...'Woodham Ferrers Water Ski Club'

Situated inland on the River Crouch only 10 miles from Chelmsford, we are a non-profit making, friendly club with superb facilities for boat owning members, their families and crew.

We are affiliated to the 'British Water Ski Federation and offer launching facilities throughout the year. Membership includes training and testing for the 'Ski Boats Drivers Award' Scheme (SBDA), which is a requirement for towing skiers. Becoming a member of the club automatically makes you a member of the British Water-ski Federation. We include the Ski Boat Drivers Award for all new members. This scheme is widely recognised across the UK and Europe and is becoming the recognised standard level of competence for our club and many others.

Club Facilities

 

A concrete launch ramp which allows easy launching and retrieval of your boat. The ramp is wide enough to launch or retrieve two boats simultaneously. This ramp has been designed at the appropriate angle so that you do not need to submerge any part of your vehicle whilst launching or retrieving your boat..

 

Secure storage for your car and trailer whilst enjoying the day on the water.

 

Once in the water we have a dedicated ski area exclusively for club members. This area is well protected and offers two pontoons, a slalom course and beach area. The Ski area is around 1 mile long by 1/4 mile wide. You can see the ski area map by clicking here.

 

If your boat has been converted to run on LPG, the club has invested in a storage tank and offers fuel at very reasonable prices.

 

After an enjoyable day out on the water, we have three concrete wash bays available for you to clean your boat, gear and flush your engine. The Club house benefits from having changing facilities, toilets, and showers for both male and female members.

 

We offer a number of club nights throughout the year, including barbeques, camping weekends and training weekends.

 

Also in the club house are two kitchens for members to make a hot drink with a large seating area and outdoor veranda on the second floor.
